Cheryl is well known for being an honest, dedicated and hardworking Councillor since 1995. Cheryl has gained the experience, knowledge and skills to lead and represent Council with dignity and respect. She recognises that a successful Council thrives on equality, flexibility & negotiation that leads to a common sense of purpose and therefore commitment to action.
Offering a fresh Mayoral style Cheryl is committed to working with all elected members, administration and the community for the best outcomes. To that extent Cheryl has opened a Community Forum initiative. Cheryl will listen and respond to comments to give Holdfast Bay constituents an opportunity to engage live online in local government issues.
Chairperson of several, and wide involvement in many Council and other committees, clearly demonstrates Cheryl’s enthusiasm and passion for serving her community.
Cheryl supports sound strategic planning ensuring Council’s sustainability, quality open space, protection of the environment, retention of local character, prosperous retail areas throughout Holdfast Bay, equitable and efficient use of rates, improved services where needed and is an effective advocate for sporting and community clubs.
